5 tips to have a good summer camp
- Prepare your arrival
Tell the person who accommodate you when and where you come. Don’t forget to charge your phone in order to be able to contact him/her if need be.
- Put the right things in your suitcase
That’s better to come with your own sleeping bag. Take also your sneakers: if you want to be an active volunteer, that’s better to wear comfortable shoes.
- Respect some basic rules
As well as the people who live and work in the Emmaüs structure, you must respect the others and their differences: violence, aggressiveness, discrimination will not be tolerated. You can’t use alcohol or drugs in our structure.
- Participate to the activities
Emmaüs needs you to grow its collection, selection and sales activities and to lead solidarity actions. Your involvement will help to struggle against poverty and exclusion in France and worldwide.
- Do not hesitate to talk with the other people
Even if you come with friends, even if you’re a little bit shy, the summer camps might enable you to meet the persons who are accommodated and who work at Emmaüs and other young people like you. We hope you will take the first step 😊
