Emmaus Angoulême
The Angoulême community is a community that welcomes 50 companions and families in an old paper factory, nestled on the riverside in a green setting. It is a dynamic community with many projects focused on solidarity with the sending of containers to Emmaus International groups and local solidarity projects. The summer is punctuated by different festivals in the region where companions go. The community has been created by youth camps, so we always have a strong appetite to welcome young people during summer. Solidarity workcamps participants are part of the community group and share their daily life with the companions and our large group of volunteers. It is always a joy and a beautiful experience for us to welcome the solidarity workcamps !
- Your missions
On this workcamp, you will participate to the sorting, selling, upgrading and handling of donations with the companions. You will also help to load contener for the international Emmaus groups. - Accommodation
During this workcamp, you will be housed in a caravan or in a mobil-home.You will also have access to collective toilets and bathrooms. - Activities and outings
Visits can be organized, depending on the sanitary conditions, to the futuroscope for instance or at the aquarium( at La rochelle), medieval party, visit of Royan and of Bordeaux. Outings to the atlantic beach can also be organized. - Work schedule
You will work with the companions from the Tuesdays to the Saturdays, from 8am to 12am and from 1.30pm to 5.30. You will be free of your time on the Thursday afternoon and the Friday afternoon.
